Lucknow Zoo
Lucknow zoo is situated at 4 km from the Charbagh station, this Zoo is also called as the Prince of Wales Zoological Gardens. The Zoo comes under the Banarasi Bagh area. Constructed in 1921, it also has a museum, an aquarium and a toy train. The plane Rajhans used by Pandit Jawarharlal Nehru is also kept in the zoo.
Government Museum
The State Museum in Lucknow is a must visit for all the tourists and otherwise who visit Uttar Pradesh. Lucknow Museum is rather situated in a modern three-storied building at Banarasi Bagh area of Lucknow. It is actually a museum and achieve rolled in one. The museum has separate galleries dedicated to sculptures, bronzes, paintings, natural history and anthropological specimens, coins, textiles and decorative arts.
Chattar Manzil
Chattar Manzil is a very famous tourist attraction of Lucknow. The most unique thing about the Chattar Manzil of Lucknow is the strikingly different architecture. It is one of the imposing structures built by the Nawabs of Lucknow.
Clock tower
Clock tower in Lucknow is the tallest clock tower in India, with a height of 221 feet. This monument is a prefect example of British architecture of that time. Formerly this building served as the Baradari or the summer resort. But, now it is popularly known as the Hussainabad Picture Gallery. If you are in Lucknow and don't visit to this monument, certainly you will miss something in your Lucknow tour.
Botanical Garden
The Botanical Gardens in Lucknow is one of the must visit sites in Lucknow. It enjoys a very rich historical association. The best part of this site is public garden where lush green plants, shrubs and herbs compose the stunning surrounding. It is an ideal place for evening walks. It also has a picnic spot. This spot is famous among family and friends. It serves as an ideal base to escape the effects of sultry summers. Besides the impressive and the themed flower shows of this garden are also the major pull.
Moti Mahal
The Moti Mahal in Lucknow is one of the most beautiful monuments of India. The Nawab of Lucknow, Saadat Ali Khan, constructed it. The Lucknow Moti Mahal is also known as Palace of Pearls. The Moti Mahal is located on the borders of Gomti and provides a spectacular view of the city of Nawabs. The Nawabs used this palace to view birds in flight and spend time in leisure. There are three buildings that comprise the whole construction.
Rumi Darwaza
Rumi Darwaza this beautiful structure is also said to be part of the famine relief plans for which the Bara imambara was commissioned. Built in 1783, this gigantic gate soars top 60 feet, and is one of the famous landmarks of the city. The gateway is located to the Northwest of the Bara Imambara.
Bara Imambara
Bara Imambara has a grand central hall that has already won many appreciations as one of the largest vaulted galleries in the world. A close look at the structure of the monument will reveal many unique features and elements in terms of the architecture. The construction of the halls and the use of vaults are reminiscent of the Islamic influence. The great hall of the Imambara can be approached through dual triple-arched gateways that are brilliant exemplifications of superior architecture.
The Residency
The Residency is actually a group of buildings that were built in 1800 A.D by the then Nawab of Oudh, Nawab Saadat Ali Khan. It was constructed in order to serve as the residence for the British Resident General who was a representative in the court of Nawab. The palace was rather a sleepy residence for decades but then came an incident, which put it on the world map.
