Anamudi Peak
Anamudi peak is the highest peak in the south which is near to Munnar. It ranges about (2695 m). It is a great place for adventurous trekking. The slopes of the hills abound in all kinds of rare flora and fauna. There are rare species of fauna found here are the Nilgiri Langur, the lion-tailed macaque, leopards, tigers, etc. Here all the tourists are allowed to go on foot up to Anamudi.
Mattupatty
Mattupetty is famous for dairy farm, the Indo-Swiss live stock project. It is situated at a height of 1700 m Over 100 varieties of high yielding cattle are reared here. From the short distance from the farm it comes the Mattupatty lake and dam, its an beautiful picnic spot.
Eravikulam National Park
One of the famous National park at south india is Eravikulam National park. It has spreaded over 97 sq km. It is also one of the famous picnic spot at Munnar. It is also an great place for trekking.
Echo Point
Echo Point is situated at the way to top station from munnar by 15 km. Loud sound will give an effective reply from the surrounding hills.
Marayoor
Marayoor is situated around 40km from Munnar. It is the only place in Kerala with natural growth of sandalwood trees, natural caves with murals; it is also one the most famous place at Kerala.
